Avocado and Orange Salad

Avocado and Orange Salad

Avocados and oranges are a naturally delicious combination. Did you know that you can make a beautiful and tasty salad in about two minutes? This is one I make often in the winter (in season citrus) or with chili or Mexican food. It's fairly easy on the braces, too. My husband loves this. If you would like a bit more fiber/substance with your salad, then, by all means, serve this atop a bed of greens (with a bit of extra oil/lime juice). You'll love this.

Avocado Orange Salad

-recipe mine

For two salads:

  • 1 large avocado
  • 1 small orange or large clementine, sectioned
  • red onion, thinly sliced
  • salt/pepper
  • good olive oil
  • lime

Arrange your avocado and orange slices on serving plates--I personally like to alternate slices of each. Sprinkle with thinly sliced red onions (amount per plate is dependent on personal preference). Sprinkle liberally with salt/pepper, squeeze 1/2 lime over each plate, and drizzle with olive oil. That's it, kids!
